Security & Trust

rysu uses smart contract escrow and verified item listing to ensure a trustless environment.

  • Crypto is held in escrow until shipping is confirmed

  • Items are authenticated before being listed

  • Disputes are handled via a decentralized arbitration protocol (coming soon)

All transactions are recorded transparently on-chain.

Verification Process

To maintain trust and reduce fraud, every listed item must go through a verification stage:

  1. User Submission: Item is submitted with detailed info, provenance, and photos.

  2. Third-Party Check: A qualified expert or partnered verifier authenticates the item.

  3. Proof of Verification: Once approved, verification status is attached to the listing (optionally via NFT).

  4. On-Chain Recording: Verified listings are logged on-chain for traceability.

Community validators or a decentralized trust system may evolve in future phases.

Smart Contracts & Escrow

All transactions on Rysu are powered by smart contracts, ensuring a secure and decentralized trading experience:

  • Escrow Contracts: When a buyer commits to purchase, funds are held securely until the item is delivered.

  • Conditional Release: Funds are only released once tracking confirms delivery and the buyer confirms receipt.

  • Transparency: Contract code and transactions are visible and verifiable on-chain.

  • Future DAO Controls: Governance mechanisms may allow community members to vote on smart contract upgrades.

Fees & Revenue Model

Rysu sustains itself through the following revenue streams:

  • Listing Fee: A small fee may be charged for submitting items (to reduce spam).

  • Transaction Fee: A percentage fee on each successful sale (e.g. 2–5%).

  • Escrow Fee: A fixed or percentage-based fee to facilitate secure escrow transactions.

  • Premium Features: Future tools or profile enhancements may be offered as optional paid upgrades.

All fees will be transparently displayed at the point of listing or checkout.

Dispute Resolution

In the rare case of a dispute between buyer and seller:

  1. Dispute Initiation: Either party can flag the transaction if expectations are not met.

  2. Evidence Collection: Both sides submit supporting documentation (e.g. shipping proof, images).

  3. Moderator/Arbiter Involvement: A trusted moderator or decentralized arbiter reviews the case.

  4. Final Decision: Funds are released accordingly.

We aim to eventually decentralize dispute resolution through a trustless protocol or DAO-based arbiter pool.
